PHILADELPHIA (March 25, 2015) – City Council At-Large Candidate, Derek Green, Esquire, has received another major city endorsement for his campaign from the AFSCME District Council 47. “AFSCME District Council 47 delegates representing over 6,500 members voted last night to support candidates they believe will operate in the best interest of its union members, working people and the City of Philadelphia,” states Frederick Wright, AFSCME Council President. Green’s political expertise and his overall commitment in improving the city both in the public and private sectors, is the reason for receiving this endorsement.
The AFSCME endorsement adds to the recent endorsements from Gas Workers Local 686, Transports Workers Union Local 234 and the Philadelphia Fire Fighters’ Union Local 22 (IAFF).
